Peter Lynch, the legendary guru of the Magellan mutual fund maintained that the secret of his investment success was that he put money into companies with products he liked, understood and used. That applies to successful career paths as well.

When I was Chief Customer Officer at ArcSight during our hyper-growth phase, one of the most expensive decisions I had to make was to dispatch a key engineer to a customer site to track down a particularly difficult problem. Expensive, inefficient and not  particularly effective.

So, when I heard about Replay Solutions it was one of those “where have you been all my life” experiences. The idea that you can capture and recreate with 100% fidelity an entire execution environment within a portable, lightweight virtual container that can be used to find and fix bugs, performance issues and even security holes completely revolutionizes how organizations develop, test, deploy and support software.

In addition to my own personal predisposition, the other compelling attribute of Replay is that I’m not the only person who immediately recognizes the value of our solution. In my entire career of running (with generally modest success) webinars and other informational activities for new products and technologies, I have never seen anything remotely like the response that Replay gets to the webinars that we hold. For a single webinar hundreds of people sign up, attend and stay to the very end—and when I talk to them afterward, they are every bit as excited about the value we deliver as I am. Double the Customers, Double the Fun

We’re excited that we’ve doubled our customer base in 2009 (see press release here) following new customer wins that include among others, Gemini Solutions, Inc., Hewlett Packard Company and one of the largest global financial institutions.

Software teams use our debugging software tools to quickly identify and resolve software defects, as well as performance and security issues. The latest customer additions enhance our already-impressive list of customers.

Our revolutionary record and replay technology enables customers to know exactly when a problem occurs during development, testing or in production, which means they can reproduce and resolve it quickly.

Our technology not only eliminates non-reproducible software bugs, but helps to ensure that our customers’ software is delivered on time and on budget.

Maintaining software applications and fixing errors costs companies millions of dollars and impacts their ability to deliver products to market on time.
